Important Update - BRM Joint Action Plan Funding
LCVS was recently advised by City Council officers that cuts to the Area Based Grant may impact on the funding available for the BRM Joint Action Plan Development Initiatives.
Given that we have no further indication as to the impact of the cuts we feel we have no option other than to postpone the Participatory Budgeting event due to take place on 12 July. Please note that all applications received before the closing date (30 June) will remain ’live’ and no applications will be accepted after this date.
We appreciate that postponing the meeting will have an impact on the delivery time for applicants should funding be made available and we will work with groups to revise budgets and timescales as appropriate.
We would envisage that it may be September before the PB meeting can go ahead given the summer holiday period but again this is dependent on the outcome of budget discussions within LCC.
We will of course keep you informed about any developments as they happen.
Best wishes
Colin Heaney
Grants Officer
The LCVS Grants Team has helped over 1,000 grassroots community groups and charities within Liverpool and Merseyside to access over 4 million pounds worth of small grants to run projects and activities locally. We provide a range of targeted grant schemes to enable local community/ voluntary groups and registered charities to run projects and activities that benefit people in Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area. We have tried to make our application form and process as accessible and straightforward as possible so that we can understand the: who, what, where, when and why of your project.
The role of the Grants Team is to provide support to local organisations throughout the process, assess applications and prepare project summaries for funding panels. These summaries are taken from the application form and from either a telephone assessment or site visit.
